Charlie and his wife, Gloria, have been FMCA members since 2002. Charlie was elected national vice president, South Central Area, in 2011. He and Gloria belong to the American Coach Chapter of FMCA, Arkansas Travelers, Cruisin' Cajuns, Military Veterans, Parking Layout, Roamin' Nobles, and Rally in the Pasture chapters. As a member of the Parking Layout crew, Charlie has worked at three FMCA international conventions. Charlie was national director of the Arkansas Travelers chapter from 2004 to 2005 and has served as president of the Rally in the Pasture chapter. He and Gloria host the Rally in the Pasture each year.
Charlie served as senior vice president for FMCA's Six-State Rally Association Inc. from 2010 to 2011 and was northern region vice president from 2006 to 2010. On the national level, he served on FMCA’s Governmental and Legislative Affairs Committee from 2009 to 2011 and was on the Marketing Strategy Committee from 2007 to 2008. He has served on the Convention Committee since 2011.
Charlie has started and sold various businesses over the years. He is a retired Senior Master Sergeant of the U.S. Air Force (1963-1984). For duties in Viet Nam, he was a recipient of the Distinguished Flying Cross and five air medals. He also completed two years of community college of the Air Force and Senior NCO Academy, as well as numerous managerial and business classes.
Charlie is a past member of Lions Club International and an active member of the Searcy Valley Baptist Church in Searcy, Arkansas, and the Masonic Lodge. He and Gloria have three children and five grandchildren.
