Vicky Ferrari, F369332
Vicky and her husband, John, joined FMCA in 2005, shortly after buying their first motorhome, a 23-foot Coach House Platinum. In October 2006, they joined the Coach House Owners Club.
Vicky was elected national secretary in July 2011. Prior to that she served as national director for the Coach House Owners Club in 2006 and vice president — rally coordinator from 2007 to 2011. She and John are also members of the Eastern Area Tiffin Travelers and Eastern Gourmands; the International Area Military Veterans chapter and FMCA Chapter: Habitat for Humanity®; and in the Southeast Area The Challengers and The Great Outdoor’s Ambassadors.
Vicky was appointed to the FMCA Governmental and Legislative Affairs Committee in 2007 and served as chairman from 2009 until being elected national secretary in 2011. Vicky has served as a member of the Policy and Procedure Committee since 2011 and currently serves as chairman of the Contract Review Committee and as a member of the Audit Committee and the Evac Benefit Special Committee.
Vicky earned a bachelor of science degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1976; a master of science in social work from The University of Texas at Austin in 1978; and a juris doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1985. She is a practicing attorney, working for Dell, Inc. She is a member of the state bars of Texas and Virginia and specializes in information technology outsourcing transactions. After seven years in private practice with a Dallas law firm, she worked for Perot Systems (the company founded by Ross Perot) for nearly 17 years before the company was acquired by Dell in 2009. She works from a “virtual” office, including in their RV.
The Ferraris have six children, three "in-law" children, and six grandchildren. They split their time between the road, a house on Lake Anna in Mineral, Virginia, and a home at The Great Outdoors in Titusville, Florida.
