Thomas Ziobrowski, F173943
Tom Ziobrowski has served the Northeast Area in many capacities, from Special Projects Coordinator, Vice President and to his current position of Senior Vice President. He served as Rally Master for the Northeast Area Rally in 2012 and has worked many RV-camping shows for the benefit of FMCA.
Also, he was Chapter President for Empire State for a term that lasted four years. He still is a member of that chapter, as well as the Mohawk Roamers and Susquenango Chapters. He has hosted many campouts.
Outside of FMCA, Tom has served in the Volunteer Fire House — from President, Captain, Lieutenant, to Chief, and the Schenectady Yacht Club — from Rear Commodore and Vice Commodore to Commodore. He was the Water-Sewer Superintendent for the Rexford-Rivercrest systems of the Town of Clifton Park, N.Y., for 30 years.He has held various appointed town positions from environmental to advisory boards. Ziobrowski still works part-time in the Town of Clifton Park with35 years of service.
As Plant Utilities Engineer for the State of New York, Sunny Albany, he retired from the State system with more than 32 years of service. At a very large state college, he was Shift Leader responsible for employees, boilers, chillers, fire and mechanical alarms, and also systems monitoring and control, and dispatching to first response.
Ziobrowski always has been a community-minded person and assisted in many capacities to help people in need.
Camping, family and friends are a very important part of his life, and being involved in FMCA has been a fun and rewarding experience — from the youth program in the Northeast to meeting and spending time with people from so many walks of life.
