Robert F. "Rick" Ricordati, F173709
In 2012 Rick was elected to his first term as national vice president, Western Area. He was serving a second term as senior vice president of the Western Motor Home Association (WMHA) when elected. His previous WMHA duties included WMHA southern area vice president, safety officer, and captain of the Western Area Rally's motorhome displays. Rick is currently serving on the Membership/Member Services Committee.
He and his wife, Janice, joined FMCA in 1993 and are active in several chapters, with Rick having held leadership positions in the California chapter and the Southern California FMCA Elk chapter. Over the years he has worked with chapter volunteer parking crews; as chapter trail boss; and on several chapter committees.
Rick served as a co-rally master for the Western Area Rally three times. He and Janice worked at the FMCA booth during the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association’s California RV Show several times. They have recruited more than 60 new members to the association.
Rick's professional background includes service in the Air Force and civilian employment in aircraft maintenance at Norton Air Force Base in San Bernardino, California. He was recruited for a position in the Space Division, ultimately retiring as director, after overseeing the operations of three divisions and a technical library. He retired with 34 years of combined USAF civilian and military time. His community interests include participation in the Highland, California, City Library Literacy Program as a reading tutor, and coaching Little League baseball and Junior All American football. He also belongs to the Elks and the American Legion.
